Countertop Specialties Quartz Surfacing

Quartz surfacing products are composed of 93% natural quartz, which is the hardest part of granite. Quartz surfaces are scratch resistant, heat resistant and non-porous. Quartz countertops are low maintenance, extremely durable, and never need to be sealed. The color pallets range from natural hues to bold, bright and contemporary, lending to any style - contemporary to traditional.

Quartz countertops (or engineered stone) are a durable and stylish alternative for nearly any indoor application. Made from 93% natural quartz, engineered stone countertops are harder than many natural stones. Additionally, quartz countertops are non-porous, and don’t require annual maintenance with a sealer to prevent staining.

Most quartz countertops have a more consistent pattern than their natural stone counterparts, and are available in some colors that are harder to find or more costly in natural stone. Since engineered stone countertops are a manufactured product, the use of samples for color selection is generally sufficient.
